This is an excellent hiking park that offers coastal and forest walks not to mention fantastic Door Cty. scenery. It is our "must do" on every trip to Door County over that last 15 years.

Avoid hiking to the sandy beach near campsites 1 & 2: QUICKSAND will get you. It stinks like sewage and there is no running water in the park to clean yourself off with. A dip in the lake didn't help

Campsite #13 is very secluded but getting there is tough by bike. The trails are hiking trails and not well-suited for even mountain bikes. If you pack light its worth it. Its a great, quiet spot.
