Avoid the White Dot and White Cross if you dislike crowds. Check out a map. It's not hard to find an alternate route. Bald Rock and Monte Rosa are worthwhile destinations off the beaten path.

Go UP white dot trail - very steep and rocky. White cross trail is less steep and the easier way down. Either way, expect a challenging hike.

White dot is very rocky, it's not an easy hike, you will feel old once you do it but its rough! No dogs allowed at mt monadnock :(
