Enjoyed the upgrade! Location is a little difficult to find at night when returning. Look for the small green and white rental car signs...and I mean SMALL.

Don't use Avis here. Tiny shuttle bus, long waits. National seems like a better choice.

I am adding this only because you really shouldn't miss out on renting a convertible and driving around the island. One of the best experiences you will have in Hawaii.

Don't forget to get a gas receipt as proof you refueled in Kahului. You need to show it to avoid a fee. They also nail you with an additional fee if you top off outside of Kahului.

Avis charge $75 to put up the top of a jeep convertible at return. At minimum wage, it must take almost 8 hours to do!!
