I remember Safeway when it became part of thd Homeland chain some 30+ years ago.

Mid day Monday and they don't have enough lanes open. They called for extra checkers, but when they showed up the pulled from the back of the line. I'm done shopping here. Go to King Soopers instead.

We broke down in their parking lot and they called the police on us twice. The cops were nice. Safeway was evil.
