Norris Park is named for Fannie Wells Norris (1852-1937), a benefactor to Milwaukee youth. Originally a playground dedicated on Sept. 4, 1940, the park was renovated and rededicated on Sept. 20, 2011.

Marquette student leaders worked with the City of Milwaukee to renovate the field, included removing asphalt, planting Wisconsin trees and installing new turf, lighting, fencing and security cameras.
