The tour of the house ($11 per adult), is definitely worth it. The grounds are free so it's a great place to hike to the Hudson River or to picnic!

Beautiful walking paths through the forest. The estate is beautiful and there is a bench located behind the main house, which is the perfect spot for watching the sunset.

Nearly five miles of scenic carriage roads surround the mansion, though they are rather hilly. You can just as well stay near the house and watch the Hudson River slip by.

Hike the trail behind the facility. It's only three miles long, but will make you feel like you're deep in the wilderness.
