Lovely pub with warm friendly staff. A co-operatively owned pub selling its own range of ales brewed right here. All decent but I would especially recommend the Red Pike!

Home to the Hesket Newmarket brewery. The pub is the country's first cooperatively owned pub. Supported by Prince Charles. Great real ales.

Try climbing one of the Lakeland fells and then drinking a pint of one of the brewery's ales named after that fell. Beer never tastes better than that.
