Nice food, well decorated. Open fire place, lots of seating and a pleasant outside area.

Nice atmosphere and food is generally good although avoid the steak and ale pie (all fat when I had it). Portions aren't generous and service isn't the quickest.

The friendly staff make it feel like a proper British pub. In the summer sit out the back outside

The 'Landlord's menu' is good value for money. Ask about the daily special Sit outside on a sunny day. Free WiFi.

After refurbishment, the inside looks quite lovely. I don't know about food as I only went for drinks

Slow service, got drinks order wrong, candle stayed unlit, coffee machine not functioning = unhappy with this refurbed & renamed gastropub for this first visit back!!
