So much more to do and see than expected. Go early and bring sunglasses on a sunny day.

Little House on the Prairie is excellent! Four days packed with authentic pioneer life straight out of the Little House books.

Really awesome day out, great views, lovely staff, very good explanations of what the fort was for etc. Especially good talk from on the local native american population and "indian wars".

The original installation was constructed from 1820-1824 as Fort St. Anthony. It received its name upon its completion in 1825 in honor of Colonel Snelling, who commanded the regiment that built it.
