The tasting bar is terrific--we had great service. If the weather is nice, you can sip your scotch on the wee deck and look out at the sea.

Very well located in Bowmore. Nice hall with the Black Bowmores displayed. Nice lounge to taste the whiskies.

The Master Distillers Tours costs £275 per person! That sounds like a lot of money and it is. But it's worth every cent. Thanks Eddie for an unforgettable day. Check out the website for more details!

One of three distilleries on Islay (and six in Scotland) that malt their own barley; the others are Kilchoman and Laphroaig. This makes the tour a bit more interesting.

Stay in the cottages that the distillery owns, they are within the grounds of the distillery. Also the tours that run daily from the visitors centre are well worth taking.

Go upstairs in the visitor centre and enjoy one of the nice whiskies produced here. Or take the Craftsmen tour for a very detailed tour of the premises including a visit inside the kiln and warehouse.
