The country, where almost all directions of tourism are well developed, is known for its hotels with the «“all inclusive”» system, affordable prices and oriental hospitality.
Tourists come here for a family holiday, for the sake of pilgrimage tours, health tourism or shopping.In the world ranking of popularity among tourists, Turkey ranks sixth. As the map of this country shows, it is washed by four seas: Black, Marble, Mediterranean and Aegean. In combination with a subtropical climate, it is an ideal resort. On the shore of more than 7,000 meters, there are 355 beaches and nearly 3,000 hotels.The country guide recommends visiting the key historical sights of Turkey – Istanbul with its monuments of Islamic and Byzantine culture, Cappadocia with cave towns of volcanic origin, the Turkish Riviera with ancient ruins, Ankara with ancient mosques. Travelers also mark in their maps such popular places as Antalya, Alanya, Marmaris and Kemer. To move between cities, tourists can use such popular transport as buses and ferries.The beach season starts in Turkey in April and lasts until the end of October. The hottest months are July and August, so the guidebooks advise you to choose May or June for leisure holidays, and go on excursions or shopping in the spring or autumn.
